Dr Hashmi has been professional, supportive and easy to speak with throughout. He listens carefully, explains treatment options clearly and takes my concerns seriously. I have felt well supported and confident in the care Iโve received.
Dr Hashmi has been excellent. He has shown much care towards me. The ADHD diagnosis & the medication have helped me tremendously. But that may not have been the case without Dr Hashmi; he's always put me as the patient first, without ignoring concerns and issues my family may have. And in our interactions, he shows genuine care for me. In my initial consultation, he said he wanted to help us no matter the outcome, even if it meant we wouldn't need his services, which my mum and I both greatly valued. The only slight negative would be the miscommunication with his assistant, as I'm regularly left confused. But that isn't a reflection on DR Hashmi's positive interactions with me.
Dr Hashmi has been a brilliant doctor for me and my children over the past four years. He provides excellent advice and has helped me gain a much deeper understanding of dyslexia, autism, and ADHD, as well as how these conditions can be effectively managed. My teenage daughter, in particular, has been a challenging patient at times, and Dr Hashmi has helped us navigate some very difficult periods with expertise, patience, and understanding. Thank you :)
Health Private appointments are provided online. This allows patients and families to access specialist assessment without needing to travel, while still receiving structured clinical review, clear explanation and professional recommendations.
Remote access: appointments are arranged online, making assessment easier for people with busy schedules, travel limitations, anxiety, sensory needs or family commitments.
Clear preparation: patients may be asked to provide forms, background information, collateral history or previous records before assessment where relevant.
Professional recommendations: assessment outcomes may include diagnosis, treatment recommendations, medication review, follow-up advice or written documentation where agreed.
Health Private is not an emergency service and does not replace urgent NHS, crisis or safeguarding support. Online appointments may not be suitable for every situation, especially where immediate risk, severe instability or emergency care is required.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that may affect attention, activity levels and impulse control. It can also influence executive functioning and emotional regulation, and its presentation can vary considerably between people and across different stages of life.
Our Understanding ADHD resource explains how ADHD may affect adults, children and young people, everyday routines, education, work and relationships, along with practical support strategies and treatment options.
Working memory, task initiation, planning, organisation and time management can all influence daily life.
ADHD can present differently in children, young people and adults, particularly as responsibilities and environments change.
Clear routines, manageable task steps, reminders and individualised clinical support may help depending on a person's needs.
ADHD and autism assessments should be more than a quick checklist. Health Private aims to understand the full clinical picture, including symptoms, development, functioning, risk, strengths, challenges and wider mental health needs.
For some patients, private assessment and treatment recommendations may be used to request shared care with an NHS GP. This depends on the GP practice, local policy, clinical circumstances and whether the GP agrees to accept shared care responsibilities.
Where appropriate, Health Private can provide documentation summarising assessment findings, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Recommendations may be made where clinically appropriate, but prescribing and monitoring arrangements depend on clinical suitability and professional agreement.
NHS shared care is always subject to GP review and acceptance. Health Private cannot guarantee that any GP practice will agree to shared care.
