What is ACP360?

A structured multi-source feedback assessment for psychiatrists.

ACP360 brings together feedback from patients, professional colleagues and the psychiatrist's own self-assessment. The results are benchmarked against ratings received by other psychiatrists who have completed the same General Adult assessment.

Its purpose is formative: to highlight strengths and areas for professional development as part of a wider appraisal process. Dr Hashmi has been a brilliant doctor for me and my children over the past four years. He provides excellent advice and has helped me gain a much deeper understanding of dyslexia, autism, and ADHD, as well as how these conditions can be effectively managed. My teenage daughter, in particular, has been a challenging patient at times, and Dr Hashmi has helped us navigate some very difficult periods with expertise, patience, and understanding. Dr Sammad Hashmi showed genuine empathy and provided hope, reassurance, and ongoing support far beyond anything I had experienced from other doctors and consultants. It was my first time facing the anxiety situation in family and Dr Hashmi's approach, the way he spoke to the patient and provided assurance and built confidence and the difference we saw when medication started was a very significant improvement. Would thoroughly recommend Dr Hashmi for adolescents like my daughter who received care from him at a crisis point in her life with ADHD. Waiting list were 4 years on the NHS so we went private. His expertise in this field was exceptional, a genuine understanding of how crippling this condition can be. Previously wrongly diagnosed with depression by our GP my daughter suffered for years unless aril y. Once diagnosed by Dr H and the appropriate medication given and monitored very closely my daughter went on to earning herself a 1st Class uni degree, she also has a placement at work now . This treatment was life changing for my daughter who struggled without the correct diagnosis for years. From interviews with myself about my daughter during her infant years and early school days Dr Hashmi built up a strong understanding of her behaviours. He was sympathetic and gave me such reassurance that my daughter could be helped. He is an expert in his field and I would thoroughly recommend him . He supported us until we finally had a ‘shared care agreement’ with our GP to supply the medication through the NHS, this took over a year and his clinic supported us through this. Many thanks to Dr Hashmi and his team.

I appreciate Dr Hashmi’s warmth and approachability as well as his deep knowledge and expertise of neurodiversity. I am so happy that I chose him for my assessment and ongoing treatment. He recognised the importance of assessing me for autism and adhd. The adhd diagnosis came as a surprise as I thought I was just autistic. However, the dual diagnosis now makes complete sense to me and has helped me to understand my identity and experiences in life. His careful selection of Guanfacine for my treatment has been life changing. My challenges with memory and executive functioning (including holding information in mind, remembering names, feeling overwhelmed at work) disappeared with the low dose of medication. He always treats me as an intelligent human and gives me autonomy in making decisions about my care. His recommendation for decompression time at the end of each working day was something I never realised I needed but has, again, been so important to me managing my energy levels. He also recommended therapy for suspected PTSD-like symptoms for bullying throughout childhood and early adulthood. This led me to find a fantastically skilled clinical psychologist whose EMDR approach was, again, life changing. I am no longer impacted by intrusive thoughts and physiological responses associated with the traumatic memories of bullying. I would never have considered this therapeutic approach had it not been for Dr Hashmi’s recognition of trauma.

Dr Hashmi has been excellent. He has shown much care towards me. The ADHD diagnosis & the medication have helped me tremendously. But that may not have been the case without Dr Hashmi; he's always put me as the patient first, without ignoring concerns and issues my family may have. And in our interactions, he shows genuine care for me.

In my initial consultation, he said he wanted to help us no matter the outcome, even if it meant we wouldn't need his services, which my mum and I both greatly valued.

The only slight negative would be the miscommunication with his assistant, as I'm regularly left confused. But that isn't a reflection on DR Hashmi's positive interactions with me.

Dr Hashmi is an incredibly supportive and knowledgeable physician.

I cannot recommend him highly enough for adult neurodiversity diagnosis, treatment and care.

His approach comes across to me as a patient as very much 'whole person' oriented, touching upon medication, diet, lifestyle, mental wellbeing, sleep, sensory management etc. And it is very effective.
